The humanities are a hard subject for many to grasp, there are fixed answers, unlike science and math. Students are introduced to humanities subjects in secondary school such as History, Literature, Geography, POA, Economics and Social studies, which are intended to foster critical thinking in students. Students are able to take up pure subjects or electives in the form of combined humanities. Learning social sciences are important as they provide strong foundation for students to take up humanities in JC.
