Malay
Singapore’s education system places great emphasis on all students having a bilingual education and Malay is one of the Mother Tongue Languages in Singapore. A student is required to be tested on their Mother Tongue in PSLE, O levels, N levels and A levels. Beyond taking up Malay as a subject, students can even opt to take up Malay literature. Adults are even taking up Bahasa Melayu or Bahasa Indonesia to learn Malay as a conversational 2nd or 3rd language as it is indeed an important language in the South-East Asian region. We can even learn malay in Singapore community centres or take up basic malay language courses.
Our articles are dedicated to students who wish to improve their language skills when it comes to learning Malay, be it in reading or learning effectively with the right learning resources.
